Scrap Pink

Local scrapbooking enthusiasts across the country came together for the Scrap Pink weekend during September 25–26, 2009. Scrap Pink is a fundraising event created by Scrapbooks etc. to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Scrap Pink has already donated over $200,000 to breast cancer research. We made a conference call to a group in Kansas who were scrapping for the same great cause. Although many of us have been touched in one way or another by cancer, it still amazes me that so many people get together to help raise money for people they don't know. So many bad things are said about "people today" but I saw a lot of good this weekend. I am very proud to be a scrapper!

Thank you to all the women who came together to raise money for such an extremely important cause. This year we raised over $700! We had a lot of incredible donations from local businesses to individuals who wanted to help in this tremendous day of giving.
